On June 8, 2017, Layton Boulevard West Neighbors celebrated our 10th Annual Mining for Silver Dinner & Auction! This wonderful event supports LBWN’s economic development and job creation initiatives in Milwaukee.

Emcee: Marjorie Rucker is the Executive Director of The Business Council, Inc. (TBC). Prior to joining TBC, Marjorie was a Program Officer for commercial corridors at LISC Milwaukee, and before that was at the King Drive Main Street Business Improvement District (BID) . Marjorie loves Milwaukee and loves to make an impact on revitalizing neighborhoods within the City of Milwaukee. In her spare time, Marjorie volunteers on several non-profit boards, including Chairing the Board of LBWN.
Guest Speaker: Debra Mickey has owned Mamie’s Bar and Grill since 1981. Since purchasing the bar, she has shaped the business into the beloved bar today, known for its live blues music, eclectic decorations, great deals and friendly atmosphere. Be sure to visit Mamie’s on Silver City Day, June 17th, when they will offer live music starting at noon, food and drink specials and more!
