Arlington Heights Home Project
In 2002, Layton Boulevard West Neighbors partnered with Alderman Michael Murphy and various other  organizations to implement a housing development “Arlington Heights Home Project”, in the area of S. 38th St. and S. 39th St. between W. Pierce St. and W. National Avenue.
Some of the other participating organizations included:  Tri-Corp, Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), Arlington Heights Block Watch Association, Select Milwaukee.

The Arlington Heights Home project was an initiative to improve a blighted area by building newly constructed homes that will provide affordable housing to low and moderate-income families.  The new homes are factory-manufactured homes built by Straford Homes. There are four types of model homes: Kilbourn, Carver, Whitnall and Estabrook.
